Malcolm, Mark and Lynn attended the
CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2009 launch at the George on the top of Portsdown
Hill. We were delighted to be presented with the three awards which we
won at the Gosport Winterfest Beer festival in February. Frigate was
voted Best Standard Bitter of the Festival, Invincible was voted Best
Premium Bitter of the Festival and also it was voted overall beer of the
festival

Its TYPE 42 for you! The first casks of
Type 42 were launched from the brewery today. Our fifth beer is a lovely
Ruby Red best bitter with sweet berry notes balancing a lasting malty
finish.

Malcolm and Mark attended the Hampshire Life food and drink awards at
the Four Seasons Hotel, Dogmersfield Park, the company having been
selected for the Hampshire Drinks producer of the year. Unfortunately we
did not win but wish to extend our congratulations to Hill Farm Orchards
of Swanmore (www.hillfarmjuice.co.uk)
on winning and also extend our commiserations to our fellow finalist Mr
Whiteheads Cider Company (www.mr-whiteheads-cider.co.uk)
. We were very proud and excited to be nominated for this prestigious
award after only 7 months of trading and would like to thank all the
people who nominated us.
